DAVID BERNEY - Financial Coach

Dave joined Stangier Wealth Management in November of 2021. He is an investment advisor representative licensed in the State of Oregon.

Dave graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where he played on the Men’s Basketball team and earned a degree in Sociology. Just out of college, Dave worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an advisor. Here, he cultivated his interest in renewables and project finance as he was exposed to different groups and products within Bank of America. He later joined ReNewAll, a consulting firm focused on the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects across Southern California. In his role as Vice President of Finance, he was responsible for managing relationships with key clientele including the Los Angeles Chapters of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), National Electrical Contractors Association, and the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers Union. During his tenure with ReNewAll, he was a part of the leadership team that secured financing for the retrofit of Nation’s Largest Net Zero Plus facility, the Electrical Training Institute in Commerce, CA. Just prior to joining the firm, he served as a Law Enforcement Officer. Dave was the recipient of a Lifesaving Award and feels grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve his community.

He is a native Oregonian and in his free time you’ll find him hiking, playing pickleball, cheering on the Oregon Ducks and the Alabama Crimson Tide, and spending time with his wife, Kayla, and daughter, Dylan.
