Gretchen Stangier CFP®

Gretchen Stangier, CFP®

Gretchen has been working in the financial services industry since 1998. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), which means that she is certified and recognized as competent for ethical personal financial planning. You can feel confident knowing you are working with a qualified financial planner. To earn the CFP® designation, Gretchen had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements. Gretchen also adheres to a professional Code of Ethics and attends numerous educational conferences in order to increase her knowledge of financial planning and to remain aware of the continuing changes in taxation laws and government regulations and how they affect her clients.

Gretchen is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Gretchen attended Oregon State University and earned a BS in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. After entering the workforce, she soon found out that her lifelong passion for working with money was calling to her. Gretchen grew up working in her family’s store. From making deposits, to helping make the larger financial decisions as she got older, Gretchen sought a way to balance her passion for managing money and educating others. So she decided to pursue her CFP® certification and start her career in financial services.

Gretchen grew up in Pendleton Oregon and has lived in the Portland Metro area for 21 years. Gretchen has been snow skiing since she was three years old, and also enjoys water skiing in the summer. On most weekends throughout the year, Gretchen can be found at her place by a lake in Washington.

Gretchen’s grandparents were wheat ranchers, and Gretchen too enjoys gardening and growing flowers in her greenhouse every year. Gretchen likes playing tennis and has started to play golf as well; although, she is finding the slow pace of golf to be a little challenging.
